What Has Your Attention? And How Does That Hurt You?

What are you paying attention to? Why are you paying attention to that? Who told you to do that? How much do you trust them? Do you miss anything by following their advice? Now, after watching that video. . . make sure to stop before the bike part and apply it to your life and thinking. . . Do you miss anything by following their advice. I like to think I’m really good at paying attention. My wife even asks me sometimes how I keep track of so many details. So, when I saw this video at church recently it raised by awareness that my paradigm probably isn’t as open minded as I think it is because of what I choose to pay attention to. I can do better and always try to seek first to understand and Stephen Covey put it. Have a great day!

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. “One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. “The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
