In this video, I’m excited to share with you about my Christmas present – the Cashflow board game by Robert Kiyosaki. I finally got a chance to play it, as I’m working on not overworking myself.
Coincidentally, I’m also reading Kiyosaki’s book, “The Cash Flow Quadrant,” which I highly recommend. The book helps you think about where you are in life and how you generate income, whether it’s through employment, small business, big business, or investing. It’s really inspiring and expanding my perspective, as I currently find myself on the employee and self-employed side but aspire to move towards big business and investing.
Now, back to the Cashflow game. I started playing it last night, and my son Spencer joined in. We had a great time, and I realized it’s even more fun with more players. In the game, you start with a randomly assigned occupation, each with its own salary and expenses. As you move around the board, you draw cards with various business deals and opportunities, helping you think about these concepts in a game-like format.
What I love about Cashflow is that it’s not overly competitive; it’s more of a parallel play game, similar to The Game of Life. However, there’s also a cooperative element, as players can share deals they can’t afford, helping everyone progress.
The objective is to build up passive income to cover your expenses, allowing you to quit your job and move from the “rat race” to the “fast track,” where bigger opportunities await. Each player has an individual winning goal, like mine, which was to buy a sailboat and sail away into the ocean blue.
I highly recommend finding a way to play Cashflow, whether by purchasing the game or finding a local Cashflow club. I’m planning to organize a group to play the game regularly in our gamers’ den.
That’s all for today. Have a great day, and you be blessed!
