Top o’ the Mornin’ to Ya!
Today, I’m sharing thoughts on what I call the “entrepreneurial roller coaster” or the “feelings ride” – a journey that mirrors the ups and downs of pursuing any new venture or goal. This emotional journey typically follows a pattern:
1. Uninformed Optimism: You’re excited and ready to go, but don’t know what you’re getting into.
2. Informed Pessimism: Reality sets in, and you realize things are harder than expected.
3. Valley of Despair: The lowest point, where quitting seems tempting.
4. Informed Optimism: If you push through, you gain knowledge and systems to move forward confidently.
5. Success: The end goal, higher than where you started.
I’ve realized that I often get stuck cycling between uninformed optimism and informed pessimism, never quite pushing through to true informed optimism and success. It’s comfortable, but not productive.
This insight is something I plan to bring to my mastermind group for their perspective. Having that outside view is crucial for growth and progress.
I encourage you to consider where you might be on this emotional roller coaster in your own pursuits. Are you stuck in a loop? Are you pushing through to informed optimism?
Remember, everyone needs a mastermind group to help navigate these challenges and provide honest feedback. If you don’t have one, find one!
As I wrap up, I can’t help but marvel at the golden trees around me – a reminder of the beauty in our journeys, even when they’re challenging.
You be blessed!
