TLDR:

Discover how seemingly overnight successes are built on consistent daily actions, and learn why focusing on small steps rather than distant goals leads to transformative progress in your faith, family, and business journey.

WHAT?

When I was a ski racing coach in my 20s, my sister once told me, “Everything just works for you.” She saw the glamorous side – skiing daily, working with kids, staying fit. But she missed the years of dedication, the daily showing up, the consistent effort that made it all possible.

This mirrors how we often view others’ success stories. We see someone make a million dollars or achieve something remarkable and label it “overnight success,” blind to the effort behind the achievement.

WHY?

I’m sharing this because we have a dangerous tendency to seek shortcuts and “lottery wins” while avoiding the necessary effort. This mindset can paralyze us when facing big goals, making them seem impossibly distant and unattainable.

LESSON

The key to achieving significant goals isn’t about dramatic leaps but asking yourself, “What’s the best thing I can do right now?” Success comes from breaking down those distant ideals into measurable outcomes and specific daily actions.

As Dean Graziosi says, “We are people of progress.” We thrive when moving forward, even in small steps. The entrepreneurial gap (as Johnny Naster calls it) means our ideal outcomes keep evolving – and that’s okay. What matters is maintaining forward momentum through consistent action.
