Hey there, it’s Brian from Life Champion Coach. Today, I want to share with you some insights from our Tuesday morning Bible study, where we continued to dig into John 17, which has been coined “The Lord’s Prayer.”

This week we focused on the middle section of the chapter, where Christ prays specifically for his disciples. It’s interesting to note that while Jesus loves the whole world and wants everyone to come to him, in this prayer, He’s only praying for those who have already chosen to follow Him. He’s not praying for the world, which has allowed Satan to have some control during this season.

Our discussion also touched on the concept of the seed, going back to Genesis and the bruising of the heel. We talked about how Jesus wasn’t necessarily born from a human egg from Mary, but rather an egg planted or created by the Holy Spirit, making Him fully from God and fully God.

We also explored the disciples’ backgrounds and how they came to be prayed for by Jesus. The show “The Chosen” depicts this beautifully, especially when Jesus calls James and John to follow him, even though fishing was their family business and livelihood. It makes me wonder, am I ready to drop everything and follow Jesus like that?

One of the questions our leader asked was, “How do you glorify God?” I hope that by broadcasting this message, I’m glorifying Him in some way. The footnotes in John 17 mention that the very event that would glorify the Son was his death, through which He has received the adoration, worship, and love of millions whose sins He bore.

If you don’t know Jesus and the significance of the upcoming Easter season, I want you to know that He died for your sins, for your eternal life. And all you have to do is accept and believe that Jesus died for you.

On a personal note, I’m considering pivoting my coaching business to focus on coaching Christian family leaders. I’ve been challenged by one of my coaches to ask God for confirmation on this new direction. If you could pray for me to hear God’s voice and receive his guidance, I’d greatly appreciate it.

That’s all for now. If you’re in Hermantown, Minnesota, come join us next Tuesday at Valentini’s at 6:30 AM as we continue studying John 17. I’m Brian, and you be blessed.
