Top o’ the Mornin’ to Ya!

What are the key components of an effective mastermind meeting. If you’re not sure what a mastermind is, check out my previous video for a full explanation. But in short, it’s “a group of highly motivated individuals who meet to encourage, challenge, and assist one another.” (Tom Schwab & Aaron Walker in Mastermind Blueprint)

Here are the main elements you’ll want to include in your mastermind meetings:

1. Check-in: Share your progress, wins, and any valuable insights for the group.
2. Goal review: Briefly report on whether you met your goals since the last meeting.
3. Hot seat (or “deep seat” or “man in the middle”): This is the heart of the mastermind. Each member gets focused time to present a challenge and receive input from the group.
4. Open forum: Time for quick questions or issues that need addressing.
5. Goal setting: Set clear, actionable goals for the period until the next meeting.
6. Accountability: Consider pairing up between meetings for extra support.
7. External tools: Use communication platforms like GroupMe or Slack to stay connected.

Optional: Some groups include a book study, though I’ve found it more effective to keep that separate.

The key is to structure your meetings to support the group’s mission and vision. Whether you’re meeting weekly, monthly, or quarterly, these components will help you make the most of your time together.

Remember, a mastermind isn’t just a social gathering or Bible study – it’s a powerful tool for growth and achievement. God often uses people to change our lives, so put yourself in contact with the right ones through a mastermind group.

You be blessed!
