I hope you’re doing well today. I’ve been sitting here, delaying this morning after getting a blood draw, feeling like I don’t have a topic or anything to say. But then I remembered that one of the things people appreciate about my “Top o’ the Mornin’ to Ya!” series is that it’s not scripted – it’s natural and reflects what I’m thinking about at the moment.

Over the weekend, we celebrated Easter and Good Friday. I talked about Good Friday in my last video, and we attended a service at the First Presbyterian Church. The church has a beautiful sanctuary with stunning stained glass, and a huge organ, and it’s been donated to our church. They plan to turn it into the Duluth Dream Center, which is an exciting development for revitalizing Duluth.

Ever since I moved back to Hermantown in 2019, I’ve been wondering what we can do to revitalize Duluth. The city has a rich history, having been the largest shipping port in the country above New York City and Chicago in the early 1900s. The port is still active today, with the first ships of the season recently setting out.

I hope you had a good Easter celebration with friends and family. We spent time with my father-in-law and enjoyed sharing and being together.

The lesson I’m taking away from all of this is to listen more than I talk, especially when having conversations with my kids. My mission in raising them is to help them become better people than I am, to want less, be more content, and make a positive impact on the world.

My five pillars – God, family, abundant life, adventure, and technology – reflect this desire to make an impact on others. Abundance and impact are the key things I’m seeking in this season of my life.

Currently, I’m focusing on two things: growing my YouTube channel, which is geared towards coaching and leading masterminds for Christian family leaders, and trying to buy a successful and profitable business as my first step towards escaping the rat race of trading hours for dollars.

I’d appreciate your prayers for these endeavors. Thanks for tuning in, even when I feel like I don’t have much to say. Subscribe, share, and be blessed!
